When is the right age to register by child?

You are able to register your child at any age, we welcome all visitors. We do operate a waiting list system.

How do I register my child?

Please complete our registration form and return to us with a holding deposit of £100.

How many sessions do you think my child should do when they first start?
-
We recommend your child attends a minimum of 2 sessions a week, however we understand that parents and children have different needs.

What do we do to help my child settle in?

We offer you at least two settling-in sessions. During these sessions your childs Keyworker will go through a detailed settling-in plan with you. This enables staff to gain information about your child, and gives you both the opportunity to become familiar with new faces and the new environment.

My child is rising 3 years of age. Are they entitled to recieve Nursery Grant funding?

Yes. Our nursery is registered to offer 15 hours free funding a week under the new Flexible Pathfinder Scheme. Please speak to the Nursery Manager for further details. We offer optional extended sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for children in receipt of nursery funding.

What are your fees if I wish my child to attend for more than the funded 15 hours a week?

£3.85 per hour or part of.

How much and when are nursery fees payable?

Currently fees are £15.00 per session. These are due half termly in advance and payable within the first week of each half term. We have a non-payment of fees policy which explains the process we take should fees not be paid on time.

How will I get to know about the progress my child is making?

Staff regularly keep parents updated of their child's progress through both written and verbal reports. Our door is always open, please feel free to talk to your child's Keyworker, ideally at the end of sessions.

How can I become involved in my child's early education?

We invite parents and carers to fully participate in this important time of their child's education. You are very welcome to come in and help during sessions, perhaps you have a skill you would like to show the child? We involve parents by asking them to read and contribute from the 'Notes for home' section on our plans. We consult parents about our plans and current projects involving the nursery. We also pass on any helpful advice and training courses that we think would be of interest to you.

What sort of things will my child do during a normal session?

To give you a guideline of our normal routine please see our Activities page. At the beginning of every half term you are also given a plan telling you about the current topic and the Key Activity for each day.

Do children have access to an outside play area?
-
Yes. We encourage all children to engage in activities outside throughout the session. Children have access to our outisde area whenever they wish.
